I am student at The Peak School in Frisco, Colorado. I have been very interested in programming for a long time. A year ago I started learning Java. I did that on and off for about 6 months then I took a break. Then, I learned about Code Academy and diving into HTML and CSS. I experimented making website about some of my interests. Then I had to do culminating project for my school so I decided to make a website about Recreational Mathematics, a subject which I am passionate about. In this process I wanted to be able to create some simulations, so I had to learn JavaScript (different from Java).
The purpose for me doing this project is to explore something that inspires and intrigues me. My project involved research of the subject, as well as learning from people in that field. I will present my project to the school community to share experience with them.
I would like to thank to all the people who have helped with my project. First I would like to give huge thanks to Kathi Gray, my advisor. She helped me narrow my topic, as well as make suggestion and supporting me throughout. I would also like to give thanks to Shannon Renner who was willing to help with any coding question I had. She also introduced me to Ryan Soderberg who I also want to thank. He is an amazing web designer whom I had the opportunity to shadow. He was willing to show me what is involved in being a professional web developer in addition to that he gave me valuable feed back on my website. I am also thankful to NeoCities.org for websites for free. Finally I would like to give thanks to my family for always supporting me.
